Queer East aims to shine a spotlight on the East and Southeast Asian LGBTQ+ community and amplify the voices of storytellers, activists, academics, and those who dare to challenge laws and social norms across Asia.

Through a curated cultural programme that highlights the modern queer landscape in Asia, we invite the public to be part of the discussion and celebrate diverse identities, cultures, and heritages within Asian and Asian diasporic communities who’ve often been excluded from mainstream discourse.

The organisation currently runs the annual Queer East Film Festival in London and year-round events in collaboration with LGBTQ+ allies across the country.
