Proud Changemakers:

• Elevate queer stories from across civil society to celebrate joy and push for positive change.
• Advocate and campaign for positive change for LGBTQIA+ people working or volunteering in the charity sector.
• Provide a support network for LGBTQIA+ people working or volunteering in the charity sector.

Launching at the end of 2023, Proud Changemakers grew to a group of 9 volunteers in just a few months all with the aim of providing visibility, representation, joy and a voice for change for the LGBTQIA+ people working and volunteering across the voluntary sector. Many LGBTQIA+ staff in our sector are in small or medium sized charities and can feel isolated without a network of LGBTQIA+ people in their field. We aim to create that and use it as a platform to elevate all LGBTQIA+ people, giving us all the confidence to be our true selves.

We also work with charities to create inclusive environments, events, policies, cultures for LGBTQIA+ people. We speak at key sector events and we host a fortnightly podcast where we share key issues, fantastic stories and insight from across our beloved community.

We want LGBTQIA+ people from our sector to be a part of this movement for change and become their own Proud Changemakers in their organisation or networks.
