LGBT+ Futures: Intersections Fund Returns for Second Year

  • Thanks to the generosity of an individual donor, a new small grants programme is now open to applications.
  • A £20,000 grant programme now open to applications from user-led LGBT+ organisations across the UK.
  • The Intersections Fund aims to support LGBT+ people from diverse backgrounds and will concentrate on five communities of focus.

Consortium is delighted to announce the launch of the second year of funding through the LGBT+ Futures: Intersections Fund. Thanks to generous funding from a private donor, Consortium will be working with our Grants Panel to distribute £20,000 of onward grants to diverse LGBT+ organisations from across the UK.

The programme is open to LGBT+ non-profit groups, organisations and projects that are led by and for:

  • Disabled LGBT+ people
  • LGBT+ people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnicities and LGBT+ people of colour*
  • LGBT+ people of faith
  • LGBT+ women
  • Older LGBT+ people

We hope that this funding will provide support to meet the immediate needs of intersectional LGBT+ organisations while Consortium continues to develop new sources of funding.

Applications are now being invited. Funding of up to £5,000 will be available to organisations. Full guidance and application details can be found here.

Paul Roberts OBE, Consortium CEO said, “We are delighted to be delivering the Intersections Fund for a second year. Consortium is passionate about continuing to bring new funds into the LGBT+ sector and ensuring that funds are accessible to small, grassroots level community groups and organisations. We hope to use responses to this funding as further evidence for the development of further diverse and community engaged LGBT+ funds with other funders and external stakeholders.”
